Video: Vince Cable’s Conference Speech

I think Cable is one of the very few really honest, dedicated and sincere politicians of our time. My website is not necessarily a political site – but with an election looming I thought I would contribute in the way that I can. I pray for a hung parliament, I really do. I know it’s not popular with many, but at the very least it will bring fresh, intelligent, committed new people to the fore – with Vince Cable in some position to really affect our tired and jaded politics. This can’t be bad!

  1. James E. Bonser says:

The words, honest, dedicated and sincere are not words I would readily associate with politicians in general. But if this politician Vince Cable, is allowed room to manoevre, and is honest, dedicated and sincere, then I think you may have a fighting chance. As I have stated before, politics is not my strongest point, but in all honesty, I feel that the situation in the British economy has now gone beyond politics. It requires a man that has the strength to follow through with a clear cut policy. It is time for the British people to believe in their government once again. Every problem has a solution, Vince Cable might just be yours.

  2. Robert Alan-Haven says:

Well said James. You made your escape from poor denuded Britannia some years ago, and what a wise move that was.
Vince Cable has been fobbed off with a relatively minor role in the new coalition government when he should be Chancellor of the Exchequer, or at least First Secretary to the Treasury, but he does have a seat at the top table as it were, and I, for one, hope that his voice is heard.
