Being kind means: listening to the other side of the story and knowing there is another side to it.
Being kind means: prizing freedom above all else and knowing that freedom is the right of all.
Being kind means: always keeping your promises and never promising something you cannot fulfill.
Being kind means: never saying, "I told you so."
Being kind means: enjoying nature but never interfering with it.
Being kind means: sharing your experience and your wisdom without preaching.
Being kind means: never allowing jealousy to enter your heart.
Being kind means: knowing all life to be sacrosanct, but allowing it to end if suffering is involved.
Being kind means: never doing anything for someone that they can do for themselves.
Being kind means: allowing people to help you without giving them something in return. A thank you is very often enough.
Being kind means: telling the truth as a help not as a punishment.
Being kind means: holding out your hand and remaining supportive, even if your hand is rejected.
Being kind means: remaining in the present and never resorting to hypothetics.
And if you should search this world over and never find a single soul to be kind to, then use your kindness on yourself.
