Video: David Whyte on John O’Donohue
On a shelf in my sitting room I have the books that have been pivotal in my life. These include John O’Donohue’s beautiful writings. Fairly recently I discovered another poet – David Whyte. In this video we have two for the price of one! Here David Whyte speaks of his friend John O’Donohue, who had died in 2008, and reads one of his Blessings. Benneacht.

What an inspiring woman you are ! Thank you so much for sending the heart-connected, spiritual thoughts to us all. I love John O’Donohue, I have all his books and was thrilled to actually see him once. A friend of mine who was housebound for weeks with concussion borrowed the book “Beauty” from me and was much heartened by it. I love his idea of “I will mind you”.
Good to read about people’s thoughts on death. May the peace of the swallows be with you.
